Lucy Brakewell Solicitor

Lucy graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 1994 and qualified in 1997 in the Midlands. She moved to East Anglia where she remained an equity partner at a criminal Law Firm for 10 years.

Over 24 years, Lucy has developed a large and loyal client base dealing with all stages of a case from attending the police station through to advocating in the magistrates Court defending clients and instructing experienced Counsel/barristers to advocate in the Crown Court, whilst continuing to look after Crown Court cases.

Lucy genuinely cares about her clients and puts everything into looking after them. She is passionate about her work as she leads clients through the Criminal Justice system, driven to get the best possible result. Lucy prides herself on putting her clients first.

Whenever Lucy is able to spend time with her family, she enjoys gardening and takes a keen interest in Motorsport, particularly Formula 1, having spent her formative years living in Northamptonshire, the Home of British Motorsport. She also has a love of eating out when time permits.

Michelle – Personal Assistant and Legal secretary

Michelle has over 20 years’ experience working as a legal secretary for two different law firms. She is dedicated to the clients she works for and is prepared to put herself out to help and reassure.

Kirsty Chaplin Trainee Solicitor

Kirsty Chaplin joined LB Solicitors in the Spring of 2024 having worked at a well-known firm in the city of Nottingham before relocating to Norwich to be nearer to family.

Having earnt a first class honours degree from the University of Law Kirsty volunteered with Citizens Advice at Nottingham Magistrates Court where she was awarded a Provost award for unwavering dedication to supporting vulnerable people.

Her dedication is now evident with clients at LB Solicitors.

In her spare time Kirsty enjoys reading and has a passion for football when time allows although has yet to attend a game!  Kirsty also enjoys drawing, animation and coding.

The best around for sure

Generally can not thank Lucy enough she's so kind, caring, warm hearted. Made me feel safe and in good hands and relaxed despite my circumstances. I have recommended her to a friend and will continue to do so she is by far the best person I have ever had fight my corner. I couldn't get legal aid however she done me a very good deal so it wasn't a issue for me if your looking for the best she most certainly is LOOK NO FURTHER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
